Our Refund and Return Policy

Thank you for being a valued customer of Rhode Island Pyrotechnics! We appreciate your business, and our refund and return policy is outlined here to help ensure a mutually beneficial process of handling any issues with our products. If you have any questions about this policy, please do not hesitate to contact us and we can work through the specifics!

1) Broken Container

If we ship an item to you that arrives with a broken container, please reach out to us as soon as possible to remedy the situation. If we are contacted within 30 days from when we shipped the item, we will send you a replacement item at no charge. After 30 days, unfortunately we cannot offer any exchange.

2) Wrong Item*

If we ship you the wrong item, please reach out to us within 30 days of when we shipped the item and we will send out the correct replacement item right away. After 30 days, we can no longer offer any remedy for this situation.

3) Unwanted Item**

If we ship you an item that you no longer want, within 30 days of shipping you may return the item to us and we will offer you a store credit so you can pick something more to your liking - we get it, sometimes it’s just not what you thought it was going to be and there’s no hard feelings!

4) Custom Candles and Sale Items

Sorry, but there are no refund or exchange options on custom candles or any items purchased at a sale price.

With the exception of a wrong item sent (our error), all returns and exchanges that require shipping are the responsibility of the customer. If an item arrived to you broken, we recommend reaching out to the shipping carrier to evaluate their liability policy and see if you may be reimbursed shipping charges.

*If the wrong item is a candle and has been lit, we apologize but we can no longer replace the item. The wrong candle must be returned to us unused.

**If the unwanted item is a candle and has been lit or has had any custom engraving done, we apologize but we cannot replace the item. Unwanted candles must be returned unlit, and if you have had customized engraving, we cannot accept the return.
